Kimi Organic isn’t alone in using the platform of it’s own brand to stand tall on another issue. While many companies are now focused on being carbon neutral and omitting carbon emissions, this involves being audited and obviously then requiring resources and further outlay to do this. What is then audited isn’t always key to making any substantial changes, so we at Kimi Organic have decided to go straight to the source. The source being our campaign to “Plant a Tree for Life!”. Kimi Organic pledges to plant a tree in Brazil's Atlantic forest every time we sell one of our products.

The Atlantic forest is one of the worlds largest and most endangered tropical forests with only 7% left that is well conserved. Animal and plant life of every imaginable kind live under the diminishing lush, green canopy of the Atlantic Forest. Many of these species are endangered and are found nowhere else on earth.  For millions of local people, the rainforest is critical for their livelihoods and provides clean water and hydro energy. For the rest of us, the Atlantic Forest helps regulate the atmosphere and stabilizes the global climate. Literally tropical forests like these are our “lungs of the earth,” storing enormous amounts of carbon dioxide and releasing the oxygen we breathe.

The Nature Conservancy is the leading conservation organisation working in many places around the world towards protecting ecologically endangered lands and waters. Kimi Organic will be supporting The Nature Conservancy to plant trees which will initiate forest restoration and assist with natural regeneration.
